maKe.sense

Maybe I found it difficult to decide on my first post and what topic I can start blogging with. In fact, I could not hesitate a moment when the word maKe.sense came to my mind. maKe.sense which is the name of my thesis project, is also the nickname of a group whom I regard and will always consider as my greatest lifetime true friends, university colleagues, thesis project team and – currently- a unique software development team in one of the biggest Software houses in the Middle East.

Talking about maKe.sense and especially talking about my experience with this shella (group) can be endless :) However, I would like to dedicate my first post to a special occasion and a remarkable experience for maKe.sense when they have won the “the best project” award in a competition
organized by the Information Technology Institute (ITI) of the ministry of Communication and Information of Egypt.

The prize was received during the 3rd International Conference on Information and Communication Technology (ICICT 2005) held during the period 5-6 December 2005. The conference theme was, "Enabling Technologies for the New Knowledge Society." Twenty seven projects were submitted for the competition, among which 23 were approved from six countries (Egypt, Iraq, Tunisia, Turkey, Jordan, and Malaysia). The majority were from Egypt of course. Only one project from our university AUC participated in the competition. maKe.sense submitted the graduation project formally titled: “Automated Content Classification,” and we had a corner in a Poster Show at the Grand Hayatt Hotel.

The maKe.sense Group members are:
